Halloween is my favorite holiday and I am always creating fun things for the spooky season. This is one of my favorites activities to share with the kiddos. I will show you how to make an easy Halloween Charcuterie board!
What makes a great charcuterie Board?
Making a charcuterie board is fun. You can get your significant other or your kiddos to help you put it together.
What makes a great board is the quality and variety of items you put in it.
I went to my favorite place Trader Joe’s to gather all the items needed to make this easy Halloween charcuterie board.
If you have an Aldi in your area, you can find a variety of cheeses and meats for a great price. I would make a board for twenty five dollars and we’d still have enough to make a second board the next day.
For this board I used a mix of cheeses, meats and Pumpkin Spice flavored seasonal items.
Here is what you will need:
A wood or metal board – I used THIS Oversized Carved Wood Tray – Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia.
Cheese Cutting set – I use this Oneida 4 pc set, you can get it here.
Mini Sauce Bowls – I use the Chrissy Teigen 3 pc set. Any small condiment bowl or mini mason jars would work too.
Meats – Prosciutto & Pastrami Style Salmon.
Cheeses – Shiraz Infused cheese, Trio of Iberico, Manchego and Goat cheese, Extra Creamy Brie (cut the Brie in a coffin shape to add spooky effect to your board)
Crackers – Pumpkin Flavored Crackers, Water crackers.
Fruit – I used Honeycrisp Apples (squeeze lemon on the slices to prevent them from turning brown), blueberrie, dried appricots and figs. I also added Olives stuffed with truffle cheese (while I am not a fan of olives my husband loves them).
Spreads/Sauces – I used Spicy Habanero Jelly and Fig Jam. I have used Raspberry
To make it Halloween themed, I went to the Target and got a couple of decorations and some I already had from previous years. These are the items I got:
Skulls – These were in the dollar area and you can use them for drinks too.
Pumpkins – These pumpkins came in a pack of 4 for $3
Spiders – I got two different sizes of spiders, small and medium.
Skeleton Hand – I love adding this one because it gives you the idea that there is someone reaching for the board.
Misc – To give it a gothic look under the board I used Creepy Cloth.
I paired the board with a dry wine Cava from Trader Joe’s as well. You can use Prosecco or semi sweet wine.
Add what you like, just like I did with mine, because this is your board. You can watch the video here on my Instagram for the How to make this Easy Halloween Charcuterie board.
